Regina Halmich fought her way through against Stefan Raab. Even in real life, men don’t dare approach her.
Regina Halmich (47) proved on Saturday, September 14th, that she is ready to accept any challenge when she entered the ring in Stefan Raab’s (57) comeback fight without any background knowledge of her opponent’s physical condition. But how does the professional boxer actually get by in her private life and how do men react to so much concentrated female power? about her private life.
The former boxer did not start a family after the end of her professional career in 2007, as many people suspected at the time. “I’m single!” she announced. “I don’t currently have a life partner that I live with. I also don’t think any man would have put up with me over the last six months,” she said, summing up her fight preparations.
The TV spectacle “The Clark Final Fight” in front of around 5.9 million viewers is now behind her. But she is not looking for a partner now: “I get along quite well with myself. That doesn’t mean that I will stay single forever. But I am not currently looking.” The Karlsruhe native even reports that a TV station tried to match her: “I was even offered the opportunity to look for a partner on TV.” She turned it down.
“Very few men dare to talk to me”
She doesn’t feel any fear of missing out: “That’s the nice thing about being over 40: There’s no pressure anymore, you become more relaxed.” She isn’t lonely because she has “great friends and a happy family” around her. Halmich admits, however, that her job and her fame make dating more difficult: “Men have a lot of respect for me, but very few of them dare to talk to me.”
Regina Halmich was most recently in a relationship with police officer Andreas Jourdan. The relationship ended in 2016 after twelve years. From 1995 to 1997, the trained legal assistant was with professional footballer Martin Driller (54). The boxer, who held the world title from 1995 to 2007, has no children.
