Donald Trump is not happy with George Clooney. This is unlikely to have changed after the star’s recent statements.
The election campaign in the USA is gradually entering its hot phase. On November 5, less than 50 days away (as of September 19), Americans will elect either Republican Donald Trump (78) or Democrat Kamala Harris (59) to the White House. It is clear which of the two will receive the vote of Hollywood star George Clooney (63): He makes no secret of his support for Harris and has now also launched a verbal attack on former President Trump.
However, he did this primarily because Trump had previously attacked the actor in his usual blustering manner. The reason: In July, Clooney had written a guest article for the “New York Times” in which he called for Joe Biden (81) to withdraw his candidacy for the Democrats – which he did shortly afterwards.
“Now fake movie actor George Clooney, who has never managed to make a movie that is even remotely great, is getting involved,” Trump posted on his Truth Social platform. Clooney had “turned against Crooked Joe like the rats they both are. What does Clooney know about anything? Clooney should get out of politics and go back to television. Movies never really worked for him!”
Clooney’s compromise to Trump
When asked by Jimmy Kimmel about Trump’s tirade, Clooney replied casually: “I will do that if he does it too. That would be a compromise I would be willing to make.” The studio audience gave this suggestion a thunderous applause.
The idea that Trump will soon leave the political stage is, of course, just wishful thinking on the part of Clooney and Co. Despite Trump’s verbal outbursts and the lost TV debate, US polls currently indicate a very close race with slight advantages for Harris.
