Deputy Chief of Staff of the Interior, Lisandro Catalantogether with the Secretary of Innovation, Science and Technology, Dario Genua; the national director of the National Registry of Persons (RENAPER), Pablo Santos; and the intervenor of the National Communications Agency (ENACOM), Juan Martin Ozores, participated in the signing of an agreement with cell phone companies Movistar, Staff and Clear which enables Renaper to provide said companies with the services of Digital Identity Validationthrough which they will be able to verify the identity of their clients.

Thanks to this agreement, RENAPER will provide companies with DNI validation and validity services, identity verification through fingerprint images and through photographs of faces, in this way, telephone lines will be more safesince being validated by the body and associated with an identitymay not be used for scams, deceptions or acts of insecurity.
At the same time, cell phone companies will be able to nominate lines in a more efficient and secure. The extension of the agreement is for one year, extendable for one more year, and the companies, which will pay a fee for each query to the RENAPER database, will be responsible not to share or misuse this database, complying with the Law No. 25,326 on the Protection of Personal Data.

In addition, all operations will be carried out in accordance with the new Regulation for the Nomination and Validation of Identity of the User Holders of Mobile Communications Services, which was approved by an ENACOM resolution, which requires mobile telephone companies to validate the identity of users.
