In 2016, nude photos from 1995 surfaced
During the election campaign for the presidency of her husband Donald Trump (78) in 2016, nude pictures did indeed surface. The model, born Melanija Knavs, had posed for a now-defunct French magazine in 1995. At that time, she was not yet in a relationship with Donald Trump, as a spokesman for the then candidate clarified in 2016.
Eight years ago, it was not necessarily the nude photos themselves that made negative headlines, but rather the fact that the Slovenian-born woman did not have a valid work visa at the time of the shoot.

“Are we no longer able to appreciate the beauty of the human body?” asks Melania Trump in the X-video. “Throughout history, master artists have revered the human form and evoked deep emotion and admiration,” she says. And: “We should honor our bodies and embrace the timeless tradition of using art as a powerful means of self-expression.”
To support her thesis, she then shows well-known examples from art history. The painting “The Large Bathers” by Paul Cézanne (1839-1906), for example, or Michelangelo’s (1475-1564) famous statue of David. The fact that Melania Trump put her photos alongside these works caused a lot of ridicule in the comments. She was informed that a ban on children’s rights had been imposed in Florida because she showed children pictures of Michelangelo’s David. Florida is governed by Donald Trump’s Republican Party.
Melania Trump is promoting her new book with her post on X. Her memoir, titled “Melania,” is due to be published in October. It is said to be the “powerful and inspiring story of a woman who forged her own path, overcame adversity, and defined personal excellence.”
