It is well known that Oliver Pocher and Stefan Raab are not friends. Fans were all the more surprised when Pocher suddenly appeared at the boxing match between Raab and Regina Halmich.
When Stefan Raab got a good beating from Regina Halmich last Saturday, numerous celebrities were in the arena. They saw the TV entertainer’s return live. There had already been speculation beforehand about one of Raab’s prominent colleagues. The “Bild” newspaper reported that Oliver Pocher had been banned from the event in Düsseldorf. But then Pocher posted a photo from the event. Had he managed to get past security and into the event hall? Maybe even in disguise? “Well, where am I…” wrote Pocher in his post, fueling speculation even more.

A little later, he cleared up the confusion himself and posted a picture of himself at home in Cologne. Now Pocher has explained what the arena photo was all about. In his podcast with ex-wife Sandy Meyer-Wölden, he reveals that their daughter Nayla really wanted to go to the boxing match. “We made that possible for her,” explains Meyer-Wölden. Nayla actually wanted to go to the fight with Pocher’s other ex-wife Amira Aly, but Aly didn’t receive an invitation for her. “I love my daughter for that, she has my genes. She called and said: ‘I still want to go’,” Pocher remembers Nayla’s defiant reaction.

He was finally able to get tickets for her, said Pocher. And that ultimately led to his much-discussed post. “It was funny, she sent you a photo, live from her seat, which you posted. Everyone got really nervous for a few minutes,” says Meyer-Wölden. “At some point the rumor was spread: ‘Olli is dressed as a woman.’ And then all the security guards went crazy. They had three of them with our daughter alone to see if I was coming to my daughter,” says Pocher.
They were once friends
In the podcast, he also says that he and Raab simply can’t stand each other. To understand the enmity between the two, you have to go far back in time. Both Raab and Pocher began their television careers at the music channel Viva – they got on well back then. When Raab later became the face of ProSieben, he often used Pocher as a co-host. The two remain silent about why the initial friendship fell apart. However, there are enough possible reasons. A dispute over Pocher’s production company Brainpool could have been part of it, as well as Pocher’s RTL show “Alle auf den Kleinen”, which many people compared to Raab’s classic “Schlag den Raab/Star” (ProSieben).
A few years ago, Pocher told his ex-wife Amira Aly in their podcast that Raab always ignored him. “Even when he sees me, he walks past in silence,” Pocher said at the time.
