People: Lilli Schweiger: Carpentry apprenticeship strengthened her self-confidence

She acted in “Keinohrhasen” and other films. In recent years, however, Til Schweiger’s daughter has concentrated on something else – and also took a break from Instagram.

Lilli Schweiger (26), daughter of actor Til Schweiger, says she has come out of her carpentry apprenticeship stronger. “This experience has strengthened my self-confidence and it is very enriching to see at the end what you have created with your own hands,” she told the “Bild” newspaper in Berlin. Nevertheless, she does not see her acting career as over. “I am always open to new, exciting projects,” she explained. Nevertheless, she would like to “continue working as a carpenter.”

Schweiger said she started her apprenticeship in Berlin in August 2020. “I just think it’s nice when you can create something yourself with your hands,” she said at the time. In recent years, she has concentrated fully on it, she said now. “I have successfully completed it and I am happy to help my family and friends.” She put her Instagram account on hold during her time off. “I needed time for myself. When I feel like it again, I will post something again.”

Lilli Schweiger had her first film role in 2007 in the film “Keinohrhasen”, which her father directed and played the leading role in. Most recently, she was in front of the camera for her father’s film “Die Hochzeit”, which was released in German cinemas in 2020.
