The Munich actor Jacques Breuer is dead. He was 67 years old.
Actor Jacques Breuer (1956-2024) died unexpectedly in Munich on September 5th (September 24th). Further details – such as the cause of death – are not known.
Shocking news already in November 2022
At the beginning of November 2022, Jacques Breuer made dramatic headlines: Due to diabetes complications, several of his toes had to be amputated. And even after that, his life was still in danger. He “almost died” from the long-term effects and complications resulting from his long-term illness, as he told the “Bild” newspaper at the time.
He was a real TV crime star
The Munich-born Austrian scion of a family of actors became known for his role as Peter Bathory in the 1979 adventure four-part series “Mathias Sandorf”. His filmography also includes a series of television crime hits such as “Derrick”, “Der Alte”, “Die Krimistunde”, “Ein Fall für Zwei”, “SOKO” and countless “Tatorte”. Jacques Breuer was most recently seen in “Aktenzeichen XY … ungelöst” and “Der Staatsanwalt: Die letzte Absage” in 2022.
In addition, his voice was also very well known because he lent it to the Danish-American actor Viggo Mortensen (65), for example, for his role as Aragorn in the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy (2001, 2002, 2003) and many other productions.
