The second album that Finneas O’Connell made without his sister Billie Eilish will be released on October 4th. He now says he can hardly believe that there are people interested in this.
Finneas O’Connell says he believes he will only be valued as a musician alongside his sister Billie Eilish. “I’m somehow convinced that I don’t have any fans,” the 27-year-old told the 22-year-old pop singer amidst shared laughter in a conversation on the “Countdown To” podcast series.
Brother sees himself as an “expansion package”
O’Connell elaborates: “I feel like some of your superfans are so much superfans that I’m the expansion pack.” And he found it “so beautiful,” he emphasized. However, whenever someone tells him “I like your solo music”, he can’t believe it.
O’Connell’s second solo album “For Cryin’ Out Loud” will be released on October 4th. He now says that the fact that the three concerts he had planned to accompany the release of his album were sold out was “shocking” for him.
O’Connell has been writing hits with his superstar sister for many years and is also her producer. The siblings have already received numerous awards together. Last March they both won their second Oscar for the song “What Was I Made For” from the “Barbie” film.
