As in love as on the first day: Richard Gere and his wife Alejandra pose with each other tightly on the red carpet at the Zurich Film Festival.
During their joint appearance at the Zurich Film Festival on Tuesday evening, Richard Gere (75) and his wife Alejandra Silvia (41), who is 33 years his junior, seemed to have completely hidden the cameras. The Hollywood star and the Spanish PR consultant could hardly keep their hands off each other. They posed on the red carpet, tightly hugged and in love like they were on the first day.
World premiere of “Wisdom of Happiness”
The couple attended the world premiere of the documentary “Wisdom of Happiness” about the Dalai Lama (89) together. Gere is not only a co-producer of the film, he is also a long-time friend of the Tibetan religious leader. The US actor turned to Buddhism many years ago.
While Gere walked the red carpet in a classic tuxedo, his wife wowed in a floor-length white dress with a silver pattern. Her accessories such as earrings and a long necklace also sparkled in silver. Black bracelets on her wrist provided a small contrast to the overall picture.
Happy ending on the third attempt
Alejandra is Gere’s third wife. The two tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2018. Her two sons, who are now five and four years old, made the family happiness perfect. “I was a little lost, without light, and knowing him gave my life meaning. I felt like someone was reaching out to me and showing me my true path,” the Spanish PR consultant enthused in the magazine ” “Hola” from her husband.
The “Pretty Woman” star has previously had prominent women by his side. From 1991 to 1995 he was married to supermodel Cindy Crawford (58). Her second marriage was to actress Carey Lowell (63) from 2002 to 2016. With her he has another son named Homer (24).
