The Albanesi Group launched the Arroyo Seco cogeneration plant with an investment of US5 million

He Albanesi Groupleader in the energy sectorthrough the operation of 10 thermal power plants, launched the open cycle of the Arroyo Seco Cogeneration Plant, located in the south of the province of Santa Fe.

This plant, built with state-of-the-art technology, involved an investment of US$165 million. As of the start-up of the first stage, the plant has an installed power of 100 MW that will be injected into the Argentine Interconnection System (SADI), through the two Siemens SGT-800 gas turbines.

And, by early 2025, an additional 30 MW will be added and it will generate 180 tons per hour of steam for the industry through a boiler.to. The steam resulting from the operation will be destined for the Louis Dreyfus Company industrial complex.. As part of the project, the Albanesi Group invested in the construction of a transformer substation, whose infrastructure is transferred to the provincial energy company (EPE).

The president of the Albanesi Group, Armando Losonstated: “As President of the company and of Rosario origin, I feel deep pride in the work done. We are launching the second cogeneration plant in the province where the Albanesi Group was born. And we do it with a plant that will produce energy efficiently and will provide a significant improvement to the electrical infrastructure of the province.”

And he added: “We want to be protagonists of the energy transition process, and that is why we have invested more than US$2,000 million since 2004, which allows us to expand the offer through efficient generation, and position ourselves as the company with one of the most modern electricity generation parks in the country”.

The opening ceremony was attended by the governor of the province of Santa Fe, Maximiliano Pullaro, the vice governor of the province, Gisela Scagliathe Minister of Production of the province, Gustavo Puccinithe Secretary of Energy, Veronica Geesethe mayor of Arroyo Seco, Daniel Tonelli and the Communal President of General Lagos, Esteban Ferriamong other provincial and municipal authorities.

The Arroyo Seco project is part of an investment plan for US$600 million that Albanesi began execution in recent years, for the construction of 405 MW, which represents 25% of its total generation capacity. This is an initiative that is closely linked to the role that the company wants to play in the energy transition process, building and expanding the capacity of its plants, and transforming them into more efficient energy.

The same methodology was applied at the Ezeiza Thermal Power Plant, where this year Albanesi completed the cycle closure work and doubled the installed power, taking it from 150 MW to 300 MW, with a direct impact on 200,000 homes. A similar process is also being experienced by the Modesto Maranzana Thermal Power Plant, located in Río Cuarto, Córdoba. In this plant, the largest that the group has in the country, it is expanding the capacity to take it from 350 MW to 475 MW, and in a very short time the cycle closure will also be completed, where 50 MW have already been enabled. , so its current capacity amounts to 400 MW.
