Lisa Marie Presley: Why she distrusted those around her

Lisa Marie Presley: Why she distrusted those around her

Elvis’ granddaughter Riley Keough has revealed a horrific childhood experience involving her mother, Lisa Marie Presley, in a new interview.

The posthumously published memoirs of Elvis’ daughter Lisa Marie Presley (1968-2023) have been causing a stir for a few weeks now. In an interview, Presley’s daughter, actress Riley Keough (35), has now revealed further details from her mother’s life. After Lisa Marie’s death, Keough completed the book “From Here to the Great Unknown: Memories” based on tape recordings of the deceased. The 35-year-old now reported on her mother’s shocking childhood experience.

Riley Keough: “Many of her relationships weren’t authentic”

Accordingly, Lisa Marie Presley had to go through an extremely negative experience at the age of 14 that may have scarred her forever. At that time, the daughter of the “King of Rock and Roll” Elvis Presley (1935-1977) had her “first real boyfriend,” reports Riley Keough. And further: “The boyfriend lured her to a park, where the two kissed on a bench while another secretly took a few paparazzi photos that were later sold to the tabloid press.”

Through this situation, says Keough, her mother became aware “that many people often only pursue their own interests and are not interested in her.” For this reason, “many of their relationships were not authentic.”

Riley Keough’s memories of Michael Jackson

Apparently the relationship and marriage to the “King of Pop” Michael Jackson (1958-2009) was different for the late Lisa Marie Presley. In 1994 she married Jackson, who explained to her that he was largely inexperienced in sexual matters and was still a virgin.

Presley’s daughter Riley Keough has many fond memories of her stepfather. Jackson once had the “seven-story toy store Hamleys in London” closed for her and her brother Benjamin Keough (1992-2020). “Only my brother and I were allowed to run through the toy store alone. That was unforgettable and an exciting adventure,” Keough remembers.

Jackson also often drove her and her brother Ben to school, “and sometimes one of his chimpanzees sat in the car, but not just Bubbles. Michael had a whole zoo in Neverland and various other chimpanzees.”
