A new documentary about the Beatles from the producer Martin Scorsese and the director David Tedeschi will come to Disney+ next month.
The film, titled Beatles ’64will arrive exclusively on the streaming platform on Friday, November 29, as announced today (October 14).
According to an official description, the upcoming documentary “captures the electrifying moment of the Beatles’ first visit to the United States” more than 60 years ago.
He adds: “With never-before-seen footage of the band and the legions of young fans who helped fuel their rise, the film offers a rare glimpse into when The Beatles became the most influential and beloved band of all time. ”.

A synopsis reads: “On February 7, 1964, the Beatles arrived in New York City amid unprecedented excitement and hysteria. From the moment they landed at Kennedy Airport, greeted by thousands of fans, Beatlemania swept New York and the entire country. His exciting debut on The Ed Sullivan Show captivated more than 73 million viewersthe most watched television event of its time. Beatles ’64 presents the show, but also reflects a more intimate behind-the-scenes story, capturing the camaraderie of John, Paul, George and Ringo as they experienced unimaginable fame”.
Beatles ’64 is directed by David Tedeschi and produced by Martin Scorsese, Margaret Bodde, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, George Harrison’s widow, Olivia Harrison, John Lennon’s son, Sean Ono Lennon, Jonathan Clyde (Get Back) and Mikaela Beardsley. Jeff Jones and Rick Yorn serve as executive producers.
The film includes unpublished images filmed by the documentary filmmakers Albert and David Mayslesrestored in 4K by Park Road Post in New Zealand. Live performances from the Beatles’ debut US concert at the Washington DC Coliseum and their appearances on Ed Sullivan were unmixed by WingNut Films and remixed by Giles Martin.
Besides, Viewers will see newly filmed interviews with McCartney and Starras well as with fans whose lives were transformed by the Fab Four.
