Verena Kerth was the first to leave the “Celebrity Big Brother” container. In the interview she explains why it wasn’t an easy time for her.
For Verena Kerth (43), her time on “Celebrity Big Brother” is over. The presenter had to be the first to leave the container on Monday evening after an audience vote. She suffered the same fate as when she took part in the jungle camp last year, where she was also voted out first. In an interview with the news agency spot on news, she reveals why “PBB” was the bigger challenge for her.
You took your exit very calmly, you left the house smiling after hugging everyone. What went through your mind when you made the announcement and how do you feel about it?
Verena Kerth: They always say you shouldn’t be sad when it’s over. And I saw the whole thing just as sportily and playfully. I started packing my things two days ago. We didn’t know when the first one would have to go. I was okay with leaving after ten days. I’m just glad that this time there was no marriage proposal after I moved out (laughs). [Ihr Ex-Freund Marc Terenzi (46) ging 2023 nach ihrem Dschungel-Aus noch in der Sendung vor ihr auf die Knie, Anm. d. Red.]
You were the first to leave the jungle camp last year. Why did you get caught first for the second time, what do you think?
Kerth: Middle thing isn’t really my thing: either the first or the last.
What was harder for you: the jungle camp or the TV container?
Kerth: “Celebrity Big Brother” was definitely tougher than the jungle, both in terms of food and sanitary conditions. There was only a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap and a towel – and that was it. There was no shampoo or brush or face cream or dental floss. I still have three baby teeth and the oatmeal stuck under my teeth non-stop 24/7. Also the fact that you didn’t live in the open air, and then there were these neon lights…
They didn’t go alone on Monday, it was also over for Bea Peters on Monday. You were involved in an argument with her in another episode. Is there still bad blood between you or have you made up?
Kerth: We made up. After moving out, we went to the hotel together, lay in each other’s arms and looked back on the last few days in the container together.
What were you most looking forward to after leaving?
Kerth: To my mom and my friends, of course, but also to my rain shower at home, my full refrigerator and a really good shower gel – with strawberry cheesecake and coconut flavor.
Who do you see as the winner and who do you particularly wish to win?
Kerth: Unfortunately that’s not possible, but I wish Alida and Daniel victory together. The two of them have grown even more dear to me and were important supports for me in the container.
What’s next for you, could you imagine doing more reality shows or are you finally drawing the line?
Kerth: Of course I can imagine other reality shows. To be the first again and again, who doesn’t want that (laughs).
