Martina Gedeck presents herself once again with blonde hair. The actress seems to have taken a liking to her new self.
Martina Gedeck (63) has been on stage and in front of the camera for decades. One of her greatest successes is the Oscar-winning film “The Lives of Others” from 2006. Always unchanged: her brown hair. However, the actress recently underwent a type change. She’s straw blonde lately.
Back in May, Gedeck suddenly appeared blonde at the award ceremony for the 34th German Camera Prize. And even months later, she still seems to like her new, much blonder self. At the premiere of her new film “Woodwalkers” in Munich, she once again walked the red carpet with light blonde, shoulder-length hair.
In “Woodwalkers,” which hits theaters on October 24th, the 63-year-old plays alongside Oliver Masucci (55) and Hannah Herzsprung (43). The fantasy film is based on the book series of the same name by Katja Brandis (54) and is about Carag, a boy who can transform into a puma.
Martina Gedeck wants more reality
Martina Gedeck herself hopes for more reality in films beyond the fantasy genre. “Sometimes I wish people would stick more to reality. So much is happening socially in our country and in the world, but it is rarely discussed,” the magazine quoted her as saying.
Instead of creating meaningful films, people prefer to stick to crime novels or love stories because they don’t dare to tackle current topics out of fear. “I want films that are relevant and where people say: ‘Seeing the film gave me something, it makes me think about it or see things a little differently, it has something to do with my reality'” said Gedeck.
