His fans around the world can hardly believe the news that Liam Payne (1993-2024) died last Wednesday (October 16th) at the age of just 31. How the accident in Argentina came about, in which Payne fell to his death from a balcony on the third floor of a hotel, is currently being investigated by the responsible authorities. Many of the One Direction star’s followers are looking for answers in his recent social media posts. What they find there are primarily expressions of love from the deceased.
On both Instagram and Twitter, Payne had not published a permanent post in his feed for a long time. He was very active, especially on Snapchat, until recently. At the beginning of the month he was there with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy, in which they jokingly showed off their outfits in which they later attended a concert by Payne’s ex-bandmate Niall Horan (31) in Argentina.
Even just hours before his death, he shared impressions of the time he spent with his girlfriend in Argentina. However, the videos must have been made a few days earlier, as his partner has since returned to Florida, as pictures on her social media accounts show. There she had to look after their dog.
On one of the “beautiful days in Argentina” a horseback ride was on the agenda for the two of them, as was apparently a game of polo. Among other things, he also posted a heartfelt picture with his loved one, who joked in another video that the two of them “sleep until 12 p.m. every day.”
His son became his “Mini Me”
Liam Payne celebrated his 31st birthday on August 29th. As part of his special day, he had found loving words for his son Bear, which, as it would now tragically turn out, was his last public message to the seven-year-old boy. : “God bless him. He’s getting so big now. He’s a big boy and looks like a ‘mini me’. Like we needed any more of me in the world.”
Bear was born in March 2017 and his mother is Payne’s ex-girlfriend Cheryl Cole (41). However, the two separated in July of the following year.
