Selena Gomez (32) presented herself in a dark look at the premiere of her latest film project “Emilia Pérez” in Los Angeles on Monday (October 21st). The singer and actress posed for the cameras in a black off-shoulder dress. While the tight cut accentuated her curves, a short train added a touch of drama. Long leather gloves in black and pumps of the same color completed the glamorous combination. Gomez wore her hair in a bun to draw attention to the elegant neckline of the dress.
The musician has already attracted attention with her stylish outfits at other premieres. on Saturday (October 19th) Gomez impressed in a figure-hugging, dark blue velvet dress. The deep neckline was covered by a black leather bustier. She applied her long bob backwards in a sleek look so as not to cover the straps of the dress. A pair of large hanging earrings as well as a wide cuff and rings in silver enhanced the combination.
The music star also stood out at the BFI London Film Festival on October 11th. Gomez beamed at designer Oscar de la Renta’s event. A large bow that flattered her waist served as an eye-catcher. A silver chain was placed in the deep neckline of the flared dress and she chose matching earrings. Her co-stars Karla Sofía Gascón (52), Zoe Saldaña (46) and Adriana Paz (44) opted for dark shades of color in their dresses for the red carpet appearance.
Musical comedy has already won awards
The four actresses shared the Best Actress award at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. The musical comedy celebrated its premiere in Cannes, where director Jacques Audiard (72) was delighted to receive the jury’s prize.
“Emilia Perez” is about the Mexican lawyer Rita (Saldaña), who is supposed to help a drug lord go into hiding. In order to start a new life, he wants to undergo gender reassignment surgery. His wife, who plays Gomez in the film, knows nothing about the plan. The film will be released in cinemas in Great Britain and Ireland at the end of October and will be shown in the USA and Canada on November 1st. It will be available on the streaming platform for subscribers in the US, Canada and UK from November 13th.
