Mohamed al Fayed is accused of sexual assault by Bianca Gascoigne. The model opens up about her time as an employee at Harrods department store a good 20 years ago.
The daughter of former English footballer Paul Gascoigne, Bianca Gascoigne, was just 16 years old when she started her dream job at the large luxury department store “Harrods” in London. But the dream quickly turned into a nightmare. Over twenty years later, Gascoigne recounts what happened to her at work.
In an interview with Sky News, the now 37-year-old reported being sexually assaulted by the billionaire and Harrords owner Mohamed al Fayed. The Egyptian entrepreneur is said to have sexually assaulted the then 16-year-old employee. Al Fayed harassed her several times, touched her inappropriately and tried to kiss her against her will.

He once suggested that she stay overnight in an apartment that belonged to the department store. He suddenly appeared there and forced her to touch his penis. He then tried to push her head towards his lap, but the minor was able to escape.
Bianca Gascoigne says she remained silent at the time for fear of losing her job. Al Fayed clearly threatened her with the consequences of being fired if she spoke to anyone about what had happened. The minor didn’t even confide in her mother, she says, but she carried the terrible memories with her every day. “I felt so dirty when I came out of the office,” says the model, describing the situation at the time.
With this accusation, Bianca Gascoigne is one of around 250 women who have made allegations against al Fayed, who died in 2023. In a recent BBC documentary about Mohamed al Fayed, “Al Fayed: Predator at Harrods,” five women spoke out about similar incidents, and there was even an accusation of rape. Other alleged victims then reported to the police. Al Fayed became internationally known primarily through his son Dodi’s relationship with Princess Diana, but both died in an accident in Paris in 1997.
