Rainald Grebe (53) should appear throughout Germany in the coming weeks and months. However, the cabaret artist and songwriter has to cancel all planned shows after another stroke.
“We regret to inform you that all of Rainald Grebe’s appearances have been canceled,” it says. It goes on to explain: “Rainald is ill and is unable to carry out the planned performances.” It is currently not possible to predict “how long the recovery phase will last”. Therefore, no alternative dates can be offered at the moment. Fans can return purchased tickets at the relevant ticket offices. “He had another stroke,” a spokeswoman confirmed. Currently, “no one can say how long it will take for him to recover from this.” Grebe is therefore in the hospital.

In 2021, Grebe spoke about having vasculitis. that he had already had six strokes at that point. Im taking “a whole bucket” full of medication. “The deceptive thing is: I no longer have any pain. I noticed fifteen strokes, but not the others.” The prospects are “not so good. I’m not going to die right now, but my brain is decomposing.”
However, he is still trying to practice his job. But Grebe has problems with his balance and strength. He suffers from a subtype, it is “an unclear diagnosis. And that is difficult. The doctors have to experiment.”
