In April 2023, Hollywood star Olivia Munn was diagnosed with breast cancer. The actress and presenter underwent a bilateral mastectomy, i.e. the surgical removal of breast tissue. Munn now proudly shows off her surgical scars in photos from the latest campaign for Kim Kardashian’s brand Skims.
She said on Instagram: “In the middle of the final Skims bra campaign shoot, I decided I was tired of being insecure about my mastectomy scars.” She continues: “Every mark that life has left on my body is proof of how hard I fought. I hope other women who have been insecure about their scars see these photos and feel all the love that I send to you.”
The campaign was released as part of Breast Cancer Month – during this time, 10 percent of sales proceeds go to a breast cancer organization.
