Nina Dobrev and snowboarder Shaun White got engaged

The actress gave a funny reply on her account: “Rest in peace friend, hello fiancé.” They both posted several photos of the marriage proposal in a room decorated with flowers and candles, with White getting on his knees in front of his girlfriend. Among the first to congratulate the post were supermodel Kendall Jenner and Olympic ski champion Lindsey Vonn.

According to Vogue magazine, White proposed to the actress with a diamond ring at a New York restaurant. In order to surprise Dobrev, he had an invitation sent to her that she would supposedly meet the “Vogue” boss Anna Wintour for a dinner there. Instead, White and a photographer were waiting in the empty restaurant. Dobrev told the magazine that she was completely shocked. “I just froze and stared at him.”
Dobrev and White have been a couple since 2019. The actress, who was born in Bulgaria and grew up in Canada, became known for her role as Elena in the teen horror series “Vampire Diaries”. The Californian White won three Olympic gold medals in the halfpipe from 2006 to 2018. The snowboard superstar ended his Olympic career in 2022.
