There is no stopping Stefanie Kloß on stage. In her private life, the front woman of Silbermond prefers to take things more quietly.

The pop-rock band Silbermond has been enriching the German music scene with their hits since 2002. The four members have now grown up with the band. Frontwoman Stefanie Kloß will be the last to celebrate her 40th birthday on October 31st.

She loves pasta dishes and white wine spritzers

Music is the outlet through which Stefanie Kloß opens herself up – otherwise she prefers to keep private matters private. Although she always dares to take steps without her three bandmates and takes part in TV shows like “The Voice of Germany”, “The Voice Kids” or “Sing meine Song – Das Tauschkonzert”, she manages to focus on her work leave. Interviews about her life off stage are rare; she prefers to hang out in music studios instead of on the red carpets.

she once gave some unusually private insights. For example, that she likes pasta the most, white wine spritzer and her favorite color is Bordeaux. She named “Forrest Gump” as her favorite film and “Coming Home” by the Icelandic singer-songwriter Ásgeir (32) as her song. When asked which three things she found super awesome, the mother of a son (6) replied: “My little one. Eating. Sleeping.” She also revealed that she never had any other hobbies apart from singing. Kloß took part in the Ten Sing choir project at a young age.

She also revealed her life motto on the occasion: “Everyone can hold hands in good times. But not letting go in difficult times, that’s what’s important.” And so she has endured for a long time professionally and privately: She has been making music with Andreas Nowak (41) and the brothers Johannes (42) and Thomas Stolle (41) since 1998 – first in the band Exakt, then as JAST and finally since 2002 as Silvermoon. The band from Bautzen has released seven albums so far – and created such unforgettable songs as “Symphonie”, “Something remains” and “Warrior of Light”. “Das Beste”, which comes from the second album “Aloud Thought” (2006), quickly became the anthem of many couples and, like “Ja” (2012), is considered a popular song for weddings.

Tears on stage

Stefanie Kloß is known for letting her emotions run wild on stage. During the recently ended “Auf auf” tour, the singer shed many tears. She is also celebrated by her fans for this: “This woman is an incredible gift. Super emotional and human, absolutely down-to-earth and herself,” said one follower. This also includes working with Silbermond against right-wing extremism, giving charity concerts and supporting young musicians in various projects.

In addition to music, the second constant in Kloß’ life is her relationship, which is also entangled with Silbermond: in 2010 she confirmed her love for band guitarist Thomas Stolle. In September 2017 she announced that the two were expecting children. At the beginning of April 2018 there was the happy news: “Hello dear ones, happy and accomplished we want to tell you today that our little son was born healthy. What a new beginning!”, it said on the Instagram page Band. There was also a black and white photo of the new parents’ hands and a small hand clasping the mother’s thumb.

Your son should grow up as normally as possible

“We can hardly get the glow off our faces, but probably not the dark circles under the eyes either,” Kloß and her partner wrote to the fans. “So, everything as it should be. We look forward to everything that comes with the utmost respect and hope that our son has as private and normal a childhood as possible.” So far they have managed this: They keep their child strictly out of the public eye, not even the name is known. that for her, having a child and a career are not mutually exclusive. She went back to work shortly after giving birth. “For me there was no question from the start that both worked together. Many mothers work part-time. If the mother is happy, the child feels it too.”
