Liam Payne’s body will be brought to London next week, according to an Argentine newspaper. The necessary documents are ready.
Almost three weeks after his fatal fall from a hotel balcony in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires, Liam Payne’s body (1993-2024) is to be brought to his native Britain and buried there in the coming week. According to legal sources, the process for transferring the body from a British cemetery in Buenos Aires to London has already begun. As the medium reported, all documents for the One Direction star’s last trip were ready. The funeral will then take place in St. Paul’s Cathedral in his native Wolverhampton.
Delayed return
Payne’s father Geoff was originally told on October 18th that the repatriation would take place within four to five days. However, the investigations are said to have delayed the process. According to the National Prosecutor’s Office for Criminal Matters and Corrections, the singer died from injuries and “internal and external” bleeding.
Citing forensic experts, the magazine reported that 25 injuries were found. According to initial autopsy results, the drug mix “pink cocaine” as well as the substances crack, cocaine and benzodiazepine were also found.
Possible “collapse” of Payne
Liam Payne fell to his death from a hotel balcony on October 16th. The musician, who became successful with the boy band One Direction, died at the age of 31. A week after the accident, a special unit of the Argentine police confiscated computer hard drives and camera recordings. This is intended to make the course of the incident understandable. Initial investigation results indicate that Payne was alone and had a “breakdown”.
