Ryan Reynolds has hit back at Martha Stewart’s statement about being “not that funny.” Hugh Jackman jumped in to help him on the counterattack.
Ryan Reynolds (48) didn’t let Martha Stewart’s (83) remark about being “not that funny” sit with him. The presenter described the actor as “very serious” away from the cameras. This commented, who took up the statement: “I would contradict her. But I tried that once.” As he further wrote, she was “unexpectedly nimble. After a mile or so she really closed the gap.”
His “Deadpool & Wolverine” co-star Hugh Jackman (56) also joined the discussion. “Finally someone is saying it,” he wrote under the post.
“He can act funny”
Stewart appeared as a guest on the game show “Rent Free” and had to guess the three celebrities that respondents would most like to spend time with. Speaking about Reynolds, the TV chef added: “He’s probably on the list just because he covers up in his films and you can’t see his face.” Before the actor was revealed as part of the ranking, she mentioned Reynolds was “a good actor. He can act funny, but he’s not funny. Maybe he can act funny again.”
She would “take him off the list” and replace him with George Clooney (63). You can “hang out really well” with him. As Stewart joked, her statements were getting her into trouble because Reynolds was her neighbor. However, she named Snoop Dogg (53) and Brad Pitt (60) as pleasant people with whom she would like to spend time. However, the latter was not in the top three of those surveyed. Instead, Taylor Swift (34) took first place, who Stewart described as “lovable”.
