Nicole Scherzinger and Pussycat Dolls manager Robin Antin fought in court for three years. Now an agreement has been reached.
Frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger (46) and Pussycat Dolls manager Robin Antin (63) have been arguing legally for a full three years over the band’s canceled reunion tour in 2021. Now the two women were finally able to come to an agreement. According to documents submitted jointly last Friday (November 1st) and available to the site, “both parties have reached a settlement in principle, subject to the implementation of certain written agreements.”
The exact terms of this settlement are not clear from the available documents, writes “Page Six”. As a result of the request, the court has already canceled a jury trial scheduled for December 9th of this year. Instead, there will only be one hearing on January 28, 2025 so that the case can finally be closed.
That’s what the long-standing dispute was about
Antin’s lawsuit against Scherzinger came about in September 2021. The accusation: The singer refused to take part in the agreed reunion tour unless she had complete creative control over it and also received 75 percent of the income. At the beginning of 2022, the other side called this allegation baseless and made it clear that Scherzinger only wanted to renegotiate the terms of her contract after the corona pandemic made it necessary to postpone the tour several times.
However, because Scherzinger publicly announced at the same time that the reunion tour had been completely canceled, she incurred the displeasure of the other band members. Carmit Bachar (50) and Jessica Sutta (42) said at the time that they were “insanely disappointed” and that they had only heard about the tour cancellation.
It is not yet clear what will happen next after the agreement has been reached. Recently, Scherzinger had already signaled that she could still imagine a delayed reunion. A first step towards this seems to have been taken.
