Heidi Klum meets Prince William at the environmental award in South Africa

Britain’s heir to the throne visits South Africa to present an environmental award in Cape Town. Suddenly Heidi Klum is also on the podium.
Model Heidi Klum attended the environmental award ceremony in South Africa with Prince William. “Thank you for all the great work you do,” Klum wrote in an Instagram post, referring to the heir to the British throne, with whom she was also seen in pictures. Dressed in an orange, asymmetrical dress, the 51-year-old presented the prize to one of the category winners in the tourist metropolis of Cape Town. Canadian supermodel Winnie Harlow (30) and TV star Nina Dobrev (35) also took part in the awards ceremony.

“We all have to think about climate change,” said Klum, who said she was in South Africa for the first time, during the event. As someone who works in the fashion industry, she said she understands the importance of wearing clothes repeatedly and moving away from fast fashion, just as Princess Kate is already doing. She is also happy when her daughters wear her clothes.
Prince William (42) also spoke about his family’s environmental awareness in a BBC interview. They recycled, reduced their water usage and turned off the lights when they left the house.
That’s what the Earthshot Prize is about
Since 2021, the Earthshot Prize, supported by William, has honored projects that excel in the categories of nature conservation, ocean revitalization, air cleanliness, waste prevention and climate protection. The award comes with prize money of one million British pounds (almost 1.2 million euros) per category.
The eldest son of King Charles III. During the multi-day trip he also met South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, visited Signal Hill in Cape Town and said that he liked cheetahs. His wife Princess Kate (42) and their children – Prince George (11), Princess Charlotte (9) and Prince Louis (6) – were not there.
