Jude Law apparently loves his job so much that he doesn’t want to retire from acting. He wants to be in front of the camera in his 90s
In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Jude Law (51) appeared in his first series and film productions. Over the decades, numerous roles followed in major productions such as “Aviator”, two “Sherlock Holmes” films and the “Fantastic Beasts” series. Apparently he loves theater and film so much that he never wants to retire. At least that’s what Law suggests.
There are more roles on Jude Law’s bucket list
“Honestly, I think my bucket list item is to work into my 80s and 90s and continue to surprise myself,” says the star. So there is more work on his list of things he would like to accomplish or do before he dies.
The model for his project is the late theater great Sir John Gielgud (1904-2000). The British actor and director, who won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for the film “Arthur – No Child of Sadness”, continued to challenge himself well into old age. “I always remember watching Peter Greenaway’s film ‘The Books of Prospero’ with John Gielgud and he was in his mid-80s and gave this incredible, bizarre performance and this nudity.”
Law remembers “that I was always excited by the evidence that […] “That this knight of the theater, this guy at the end of his career, still challenged himself and had fun.” He always considered that to be desirable. But Law still has a good three or four decades until then. The Brit celebrates at the end of December only his 52nd birthday.
