Camilla, wife of King Charles III. suffers from a respiratory infection and needs rest. Another member of the royals, however, reports back to the public stage after completing therapy.
The British royals and the heads of the country’s government and opposition will commemorate those who fell in the two world wars and other conflicts on Sunday. King Charles III, 75, and heir to the throne Prince William as well as his wife Kate, both 42, are expected to attend the traditional wreath-laying ceremony at the central Cenotaph monument in London.
The royals want to take part in a World War commemoration ceremony at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Saturday evening. These are Kate’s first significant public appearances since completing her chemotherapy in September. Despite ongoing cancer treatment, Charles has been attending important appointments again for months.
Queen Camilla has to cancel
Queen Camilla, 77, however, had to cancel her participation due to a respiratory infection. But there is no cause for concern, the palace emphasized. They said she wanted to recover completely and avoid infecting others.
The Remembrance Service is held on the Sunday closest to November 11th, the anniversary of the Armistice in the First World War, and is an integral part of the royal calendar. The ceremony will include two minutes of silence at 11 a.m. and the laying of wreaths by the royals and important politicians.
