Giovanni Zarrella pulled off his show despite health problems. And joked about it on the show too.
Giovanni Zarrella (46) joked about his poor health on the stage of his “Giovanni Zarrella Show” (ZDF). The singer had to stop dance rehearsals for the show on November 9th because he was reportedly in great pain due to a kidney stone, as media reported. The show then took place as planned – and Zarrella didn’t let it spoil her good mood.
“I think the stone is out”
During his opening performance of the show, Giovanni Zarrella didn’t show anything. He jumped and danced around the stage as usual. As he finally jumped down a few steps of the show stairs, he could be heard laughing and saying to his band: “I think the stone is out.”
“A hot ride”
Giovanni Zarrella had previously worried his fans when he had to stop dance rehearsals for his show due to acute pain. But later he gave the all-clear and emphasized that the broadcast should take place. “Especially the last 24 hours have taken a lot of strength. Mentally. Emotionally. Physically. But I simply have the best people around me. Thanks to everyone. Now rest. Tomorrow is a new day,” he wrote to .
He finally ended the show with the words: “I know what we’ve been through editorially. It’s been a really hot ride.”
ZDF had previously confirmed to “Bunte.de” that the presenter had recently suffered from pain, but that the show could take place. “The dance rehearsals with Giovanni Zarrella last week had to be stopped due to acute pain. The moderator has been doing well since then and so far all rehearsals in Göttingen have taken place as planned.”
