Luciano Morielli, General Manager of fyo, opened the event: “At fyo we always highlight values, effort, commitment and ideas. We are very proud of the team we have and what we built. As you can imagine, all this is the result of work that we have been planning and tonight I want us to commit to thinking fyo for the next 25 years.”
In his panel “AI has arrived: What do we do now?”, Santiago Bilinkis invited those present to reflect on the opportunities that artificial intelligence offers for daily life and work, combining technology and human creativity. “AI is going to generate a gigantic change for companies, in just 3 years. We are going to have a huge challenge of change and that is the main goal that we have to achieve as leaders. In today’s world, it is riskier to tie oneself to the ways of the past than to achieve a search for constant learning, growth and innovation,” he expressed.
Alejandro Larosa, Co-Founder and CEO of fyo, took the stage to greet and introduce two great guests: Gastón Remy, Co-founder and CEO of Nuqlea, and Manu Ginobili, former captain of the Argentine Basketball Team, Olympic champion, member of the Hall of Fame and one of the hundred best and most influential players in NBA history. They talked about the learnings of professional life, the importance of the team and constant training.
“I believe a lot in causality and, in some moments, there are coincidence crossings. I think that we must demand perseverance, effort and sacrifice, which require time, training, patience and strategy. After that, the results arrive. And then there is the luck component,” commented Gastón and Manu added: “I don’t think there are lucky people, I think there are moments. One has to be prepared for when luck knocks on the door.”
Asked about success, Manu told how his perception changed over time: “Success for me before was only winning, I had no other vision than achieving the goal. Later, I began to see that winning was also in the ways, in the behaviors, in the path. Sometimes even winning doesn’t depend on you. Lately, for me, success is being able to decide what to do and who to be with. Be calm and at peace with yourself. “There are many ways to be successful.”
fyo was born in 1999 as “fyo.com”, being the first website in Spanish to publish prices and market reports over the Internet, with the aim of making information transparent and closer to the agricultural producer. Today it continues to grow sustainably, consolidating itself as a leader in the sector and standing out for offering an ecosystem of services that covers the entire agricultural commercial chain.
It markets more than 7 million tons of grains per year and operates 14 million tons in the Argentine forward market.
“At fyo we continue to think big. Something we have learned in these 25 years is that it takes the same effort and energy to think something small as it does to think big. We are very motivated to do things big,” said Alejandro Larosa and to end the night, he shared his vision of the future: “In the next 25 years, I would like to see fyo as an agribusiness multinational based in Rosario. , which is where I was born and where the company was born.”
