The first trailer for the fourth “Bridget Jones” film tells of a tragic loss. It’s not just Renée Zellweger and Hugh Grant who are returning to their iconic cinema roles.
Renée Zellweger (55) is back as “Bridget Jones” – and with her Hugh Grant as a former lover and lots of love chaos. The first trailer for the fourth part of the legendary romantic comedy is here. He reveals a lot about the plot of “Bridget Jones – Crazy About Him” (cinema release February 27th).
However, fans already suspected what would happen since the film is again based on a novel by Helen Fielding. Jones has to deal with the death of her husband Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) and is raising two children alone. Her former lover Daniel Cleaver (Grant) now acts as a kind of funny uncle for the two of them.
Encouraged by those around her, Jones finally starts dating again – and her new lover is significantly younger than her. “I had mind-expanding sex all night long, and it was fantastic!” Jones, who is probably working as a television producer again, announces one day – accidentally in front of the camera.
With Emma Thompson and Jim Broadbent, other film stars return to their roles. Grant said of the sequel in an interview: “Not only is it very funny, but it’s also very, very sad.” The director of Bridget Jones is Michael Morris.
