All institutions will open their doors to the community to develop cultural, musical, academic, research and scientific activities.
The realization is due to the fact that every November 22nd commemorates the National day of free university education in Argentina. For this reason, as a reason for celebration, all public universities will open their doorswithin the framework of the definancing provided by the government of Javier Milei.
From the CIN, they expressed: “This event, organized by the study houses themselves, will provide the opportunity to explore, learn and discover university activities through specific activities developed according to the specialty of each university”.
The activities are developed both by teachers and non-teachersas well as for researchers, university students, students and scholarship holders.
In addition to this day, on Friday, November 15, the Fair in Defense of Science and the University in the Houssay Square, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. There will be different talks, gastronomy, stands and open radio.
Eight universities in the country were positioned among the 100 best in the region
A ranking positioned eight national universities among the top 100 from Latin America. Meanwhile, the higher educational institutions in Brazil achieved the best qualifications, achieving first place and achieving seven of the first 10 positions.

The data arises from the 2024 Regional University Ranking prepared by Times Higher Education (THE) that evaluated 214 institutions from 16 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. The University of Saint Paul achieved first place. Meanwhile, among Argentine institutions, the National University of La Plata (UNLP) was the one that achieved the best performance and was placed in the 28th place.
In addition to the La Plata school, seven other Argentine educational establishments were among the top 100. These are the University Austral (43rd), the National University of Córdoba (47th), the National University of San Martín (52nd), the National University of the Litoral (70th), the National University of Cuyo (83rd), the Catholic University Argentina (98th) and the National University of Comahue (100°).
