Donald Trump walked in to the sounds of Kid Rock
The UFC is the largest professional mixed martial arts (MMA) league. The martial art, which combines various fighting techniques such as boxing, kickboxing and wrestling, is particularly popular in the USA. UFC boss Dana White had already publicly supported Trump during the election campaign.
Trump, who was greeted by the audience as he made his entrance to the sounds of Kid Rock’s “American Badass,” has been friends with Dana White and Kid Rock for years. After the main fight, Trump and the evening’s winner, Jon Jones, congratulated each other. The athlete even let Trump hold the championship belt.
Controversial Trump appearance at Madison Square Garden
A few days before the US election, Trump appeared at a campaign event in Madison Square Garden that caused a lot of controversy. Among other things, the appearance of comedian Tony Hinchcliffe (40), who described Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage”, led to sharp criticism.
