A rare appearance: Son Knox-Jolie-Pitt came to an awards ceremony in Los Angeles alongside Angelina Jolie. The teenager attracted everyone’s attention.
The Governors Awards ceremony took place in Los Angeles on Sunday evening and Angelina Jolie had a special companion: the actress came with her son Knox. The 16-year-old, who is from a relationship with Brad Pitt, came back into the spotlight for the first time in more than three years.
Hollywood star Jolie dazzled in a flowing, sunny yellow dress and stayed close to her son as the two walked the red carpet arm in arm. Knox chose a classic black suit and tie for the evening, showing that he’s grown quite tall and looks a lot like his famous father.
Knox Jolie-Pitt has avoided the spotlight so far
The teenager has rarely been seen at high-profile events. His last red carpet appearance came in October 2021, when he attended the London premiere of Jolie’s Marvel film “Eternals” alongside his siblings Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh and twin sister Vivienne.
Despite having two of Hollywood’s most famous parents, Knox and his siblings have largely stayed out of the spotlight – a decision that Angelina Jolie has respected. In an interview, the 49-year-old recently said: “They are particularly shy, very private people and want to remain private.”
Angelina Jolie describes her children as “shy”
Still, some of the Jolie-Pitt children are starting to forge their own path in the entertainment industry. Maddox, and Pax recently worked behind the scenes as assistant directors on Jolie’s upcoming biopic “Maria,” directed by Pablo Larraín. The actress told The Hollywood Reporter in August: “They’ve done it a few times and I think it’s good for them. Pax usually does stills and gets brought in. Pablo was wonderful and realized he was good at it .”

Jolie supports her children’s creative ambitions. This also applies to her 16-year-old daughter Vivienne, who has discovered a passion for theater. Vivienne was assistant producer for the Broadway adaptation of The Outsiders, a play Jolie produced.
The red carpet at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ annual Governors Awards on November 17 was packed with stars and starlets including Tom Hanks, Daniel Craig, Jennifer Lopez, Andrew Garfield and Jennifer Lawrence. The event is considered the first major campaign stop for this year’s Oscar contenders. The recently deceased music producer Quincy Jones was honored posthumously with the honorary award.
