Seven months after birth: TV star Peter Lohmeyer reveals baby gender

Character actor Peter Lohmeyer (62), known, among other things, from films such as “The Miracle of Bern”, experienced a late miracle himself not long ago: at the age of 62, he became a father again in 2024. As part of the Brost Ruhr Prize ceremony in the Bochum Schauspielhaus, where Lohmeyer was also honored by Dietmar Bär (63), Armin Rohde (69) and Joachim Król (67), the actor revealed details about his latest addition to the family for the first time.

On stage, he talked about his journey to the event by train and casually revealed the gender and rough date of birth of his child. quotes him as saying: “My girlfriend and I were sitting on the train in the family compartment on the way here, my new son was with us, seven months old, that’s always a bit tiring.” Apparently the boy has a great resemblance to the star, as he revealed in another anecdote from the train ride. Given his old age, the conductor probably initially didn’t want to believe that Lohmeyer was really the father of the baby. “Then he saw the child – then it was clear…”

What remains a secret is what name Lohmeyer and his girlfriend gave their child. The star already has three children from a previous relationship with the filmmaker Katrin Klamroth: the actresses Lola (33) and Leila Lynn Klamroth (29) as well as the “hard but fair” presenter Louis Klamroth (35), who was a teenager in 2003 on his father’s side in “The Miracle of Bern”.

Lohmeyer did not complain at the event about his late fatherhood joys when he was over 60. On the contrary, it’s “not so crazy. I still get enough sleep, that’s not a problem,” he revealed to “Bild”.
