The allegations against Marius Borg Høiby have become more serious this week. The Oslo police want Mette-Marit’s son to be taken into custody as part of the investigation.
After new allegations against the Norwegian princess’s son Marius Borg Høiby, the Oslo police have requested pre-trial detention. The responsible Oslo district court told the NTB news agency. Numerous allegations have been made against the 27-year-old since this summer, including assault on ex-girlfriends and damage to property. Now he is also accused of a sexual offense – the most serious accusation. Høiby is the eldest son of the Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit and the stepson of the heir to the throne, Crown Prince Haakon. He reacts with horror to the new allegations.
A detention hearing was postponed at short notice by one hour to 2 p.m., as the court wrote to the German Press Agency. The court will therefore first have to decide whether the hearing will take place behind closed doors, as requested by the police.
