Dieter Bohlen is not only a father of six, but also a grandfather. The music producer has now revealed this in an interview.
Dieter Bohlen (70) spoke for the first time about his existence as a grandfather. The music producer revealed that his 34-year-old daughter made him the grandfather of a grandson two years ago.
Dieter Bohlen has a total of six children. His first marriage to Erika Sauerland (70) resulted in two sons (39 and 36) and his eldest daughter. He has a 19-year-old son with his ex-partner Estefania Heidemanns (45). With his current partner Carina Walz (40), he shares daughter Amelie, who was born in 2011, and son Maximilian (born 2013).
Bohlen’s privacy is important to his children
But why didn’t Dieter Bohlen share his grandfather’s happiness beforehand? The privacy of his children is important to him, he emphasizes in the interview. “I kept my children totally out of the public eye. Today you can see the first ultrasound picture on Instagram before the child is born. Then you see everything about how they cuddle with their children,” says Bohlen. The children could not defend themselves against this display.
Bohlen even wishes that children would not be on social networks at all. “If I were family minister, I would first ban small children from being shown like this on Instagram and TikTok,” he clarified.
Even though Dieter Bohlen’s children have never been seen in public, he has recently revealed some details about his offspring. His eldest three children all have doctorates and are “very successful,” he reported.
His youngest children also don’t dream of a career in the spotlight. “Amelie wants to become a doctor. Maxi wants to be a footballer, influencer or YouTuber,” said the 70-year-old.
