As a casting pioneer, Dieter Bohlen sometimes makes harsh judgments. As a father, he behaves completely differently, he says. In an interview he talks about his understanding as a father.
Musician Dieter Bohlen (70) says he keeps his children out of the public eye – and urges other parents to do the same. “If I were family minister, I would first ban small children from being shown like this on Instagram and Tiktok,” he told “Bild” (Saturday). “Nobody thinks about what it might do to the children.”
Today you can see the first ultrasound picture on Instagram before the child is born, said the music producer, who is reportedly the father of six children. “Then you see everything about how they cuddle with their children. But the children can’t defend themselves and say: “Dad, I don’t want that!”.”
Bohlen described himself as a father in the interview as follows: “This will surprise many people, but I am the sweetest, most self-sacrificing, greatest, nicest father on this planet.” He does everything for his children. “I drive them to school. There’s no answer when they ask me something. That’s why I’m a bad father on the other hand.”
