Marius Borg Høiby is in custody in Norway. He is accused of rape. His ex-girlfriend, Nora Haukland, is now taking a stand in a podcast.
Last Wednesday, many eyes in Norway were on an Oslo courthouse. There it was decided whether Crown Princess Mette-Marit’s son Marius Borg Høiby would be released or in custody. The latter was the case. On the same day, Norwegian influencer Nora Haukland recorded her podcast “Nora svarer” (“Nora answers”, Podimo). It was published on Friday.

“Today was just a damn emotional chaos,” Haukland tells her fans. “Luckily, I have a patient friend who listens to me or is there when I can’t say anything,” explains the young woman. Haukland doesn’t have to explain what upset her so much. Not only have negative headlines about her ex-boyfriend Borg Høiby been piling up for months, but also serious allegations against the 27-year-old. Recently there have been allegations of rape in several cases.
“There’s so much pressure in the media about my fu***** ex-boyfriend. I don’t know, but I have a sick feeling of fear because I don’t even know how to explain it,” Haukland said. “I’m just like, ‘What the hell’ – this is a person that I used to love so much, and the things that happened to me, that he did to me… I thought for so long that it was really just “I thought I was crazy and that I was the problem,” she continues.
She saw guilt in herself
After the Crown Princess’ son was arrested for domestic violence in August, Nora Haukland revealed that he also attacked her. And she wasn’t the only one. Juliane Snekkestad also revealed terrible details from her relationship in August. “Over the past week I’ve received a lot of calls, messages and questions regarding my ex,” the 29-year-old said on Instagram. “Family and friends have known for a long time, and I have decided to no longer remain silent,” Snekkestad wrote. “To answer all questions: Yes, I was previously mentally and physically abused by the person you are talking about. The psychological abuse was the worst for me.”

In her podcast, Haukland addresses a problem that affects many victims of domestic violence. For a long time she believed that she was to blame for the things she experienced in her relationship with the member of the Royal Family.
