James Cameron is said to be mad at him

Josh Brolin and James Cameron shouldn’t meet. The actor doesn’t speak well to the director.
Josh Brolin (56) and James Cameron (70) shouldn’t run into each other on any red carpet. If Brolin is to be believed, he once angered the director by turning down a role in his film. Accordingly, the “Titanic” director offered him a part in his “Avatar” sequels.
But apparently Brolin wasn’t interested. Brolin now says: “I heard that he was angry.” Brolin can also understand why: “I understand that, because when you have something on your mind and you have status and power… you’re used to people being really grateful that you’re offering that to them.” However, Brolin doesn’t know whether James Cameron really thinks that way, as he admits in the conversation: “I don’t know if that’s the case with him because I don’t know him well enough.”
Brolin already had bad things to say about Cameron in 2017
But Brolin doesn’t seem to be a big fan of the star director either. In 2017, after turning down the role, he claimed in one: “If I don’t want to do ‘Avatar’, then I won’t do ‘Avatar’. James Cameron is calling me the fuck this and that name.” And he was downright aggressive: “If James Cameron came to me and said, ‘Hey, man, why did you say that?’ I would say: ‘Because it is.'” Cameron, however, has never publicly commented on the alleged rift.
However, there are also directors with whom Brolin doesn’t hesitate for a second when they offer him a collaboration: Denis Villeneuve (57), for example, with whom Brolin has already filmed “Sicario” and “Dune”. When he got the offer to star in Dune, he didn’t think twice: “I didn’t even have to read it because it was Denis and I love Denis. I had a relationship with Denis and I said I don’t care what “That’s a role, I’d do anything with you.”
