Michael Villella is dead. The actor, who became known with the cult horror film “The Slumber Party Massacre”, died at the age of 84.

A statement on his said on Saturday (November 23): “Michael Pasquale Villella has left this world, may he rest in peace. May God welcome Michael with open arms and take him to heaven.”

Villella’s daughter Chloe Villella also confirmed the news of the mime’s death on social media. She wrote on Facebook: “May you rest in peace, daddy.” , her father died of multiple organ failure on Saturday afternoon. He had previously been in the hospital for over a month.

Villella’s best-known role was as serial killer Russ Thorn in “The Slumber Party Massacre.” The 1982 film was originally intended as a parody of the slasher genre. Despite mixed reviews, it became a cult film. Villella continued his acting career in films such as “Love Letters” (1983) with Jamie Lee Curtis (66), “Wild Orchid” (1989) and “Wild Orchid II” (1991).
