After the next NFL crime thriller: Mahomes calls for “more big wins”
The Kansas City Chiefs won again only in the last second and strained the nerves of their superstar. Saquon Barkley sets an Eagles record.
The Kansas City Chiefs have achieved their next narrow victory in the NFL professional football league. The Super Bowl champion won 30:27 at the Carolina Panthers with a field goal at the end of the game. Although the Chiefs are in a good position with ten wins and only one loss and lead the AFC, they were only able to win half of the games they won with the very last play of the game.
“I would love to win before the last play,” said quarterback Patrick Mahomes after the tremor victory. In return, the superstar demanded of his team “more wins so that we can be more relaxed in the fourth quarter.” The fact that the Panthers were even able to win in regular time was thanks to Mahomes, who completed 27 of 37 passes for 269 yards to his receivers and threw three touchdowns. In addition, rookie kicker Spencer Shrader also shone, filling in for the injured Harrison Butker and staying cool from 31 yards.
Meanwhile, NFL history was written by running back Saquon Barkley with the Philadelphia Eagles. The 27-year-old ran for 255 yards in a 37:20 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, setting a new record for the 2018 Super Bowl winners. With 1,392 yards on the ground, Barkley is currently on pace for a record. If he maintains his average, he would break Eric Dickerson’s previous rushing record (2,105) from 1984 with 2,151 yards. The Eagles are second in the NFC behind the Detroit Lions with nine wins and two losses. The Chargers are third in the AFC.
