“GZSZ” fans have known him as Philip Höfer for many years. In “Dahoam is Dahoam” Jörn Schlönvoigt can now be seen as Lasse Hein.
Jörn Schlönvoigt (38) is swapping the Kolle neighborhood for Lansing – at least temporarily. From today, November 25th, the “GZSZ” star can be seen in the popular BR series “Dahoam is Dahoam” (Monday to Thursday, 7:30 p.m.). RTL-Daily fans have known Schlönvoigt as Philip Höfer since 2004. Now he changed sets and took on a different role. As Lasse Hein in “Dahoam is Dahoam” he gets involved with the lively pharmacist Tina (Anita Eichhorn, 33) and stirs up life in the Lansinger shared apartment.
In an interview with the news agency spot on news, the actor talks about what it was like to be on a different set after 20 years on “Gute Zeiten, bad Zeiten” and which roles would still appeal to him.
After 20 years at “GZSZ”: What was it like to be on a different set?
Jörn Schlönvoigt: That was very exciting. After so many years at “GZSZ”, the set becomes like a second home. Suddenly being in a different place, with a new team and a different atmosphere, reminded me of my early days. It was a bit like a new beginning and that fresh energy is always good.
How did you get along with the Bavarian dialect?
Schlönvoigt: I get along very well with the dialect, after all my daughter is half Bavarian (laughs) and my role was in High German.
You have been playing Philip Höfer for 20 years. Do he and your character in “Dahoam is Dahoam” have anything in common?
Schlönvoigt: The two don’t really have anything in common, the characters are very different, but that made it particularly interesting to develop the role.
Did you have the opportunity to go on a trip during your stay in Bavaria, perhaps to the mountains?
Schlönvoigt: Yes, I didn’t miss it! I actually took a trip to the mountains to enjoy a bit of nature and unwind. The peace and quiet up there is impressive and a nice contrast to the hustle and bustle of the city.
Could there be a reunion in Lansing?
Schlönvoigt: Who knows! Lansing is a very special place and filming was a lot of fun. If the opportunity presents itself, why not? I’m always open to new, exciting chapters, and I could certainly imagine seeing you again.
Can you imagine taking on more guest roles alongside “GZSZ” soon? What kind of role would you be interested in?
Schlönvoigt: Absolutely! I generally find it exciting to try out different characters, so I don’t have a specific role that I would like to play, I’m open to whatever comes along.
Did you pick up a souvenir from the set?
Schlönvoigt: I didn’t take a souvenir with me, but I did have a lot of nice memories.
Aside from “GZSZ” – what projects are coming up next for you?
Schlönvoigt: I spend a lot of time with my daughter, the role of father is the best role and my absolute priority!
