On November 13, the highest court confirmed the sentence of six years in prison and disqualification from holding public office for the former president for fraudulent administration in the Roads case. The ruling was issued after reviewing the verdict handed down to him in an oral trial along with 12 other defendants in that investigation.

The sentence signed by the judges Gustavo Hornos, Mariano Borinsky and Diego Barroetaveña pointed out: “A set of government acts of the National Executive Branch was demonstrated with the purpose of carrying out the execution of the maneuver, reaffirming the operation of the irregularities circuit”
Cristina after learning of her sentence: ““I am willing to pay the punishment they want to impose on me.”
Just one day after the ruling was ratified, Cristina appeared in Santiago del Estero to lead an event for the Militancy Day. There, he once again stated that the ruling is nothing more than a persecution against them due to the inclusion and income distribution policies promoted by their governments. Furthermore, he assured that he is “willing to pay the punishment” that they want to “impose” on her.
“Because we paid the Fund, because we did not lower our pants with the vulture funds, because the workers once again had a participation in the GDP,” the former president listed.
“The punishment they want to impose on me, along with those who disappeared… The price is quite small and I am willing to pay it. I’m not going to regret anything I did. “They will never forgive me: conviction and banning are the return of those decisions.”he emphasized.
