At the age of 80, Uschi Glas is still in front of the camera. She doesn’t rule out moving to a nursing home – under one condition.
Actress Uschi Glas could basically imagine moving to a nursing home one day. In the summer she shot a film in a home in Hamburg, said the 80-year-old actress at the premiere of the film “Toni and Helene” in Munich. About moving to a nursing home, she said: “If it were like that one day and there was no other way – yes, then that’s just the way it is.”
New film with Uschi Glas and Christine Ostermayer
The film “Toni and Helene” opens in cinemas in Germany on December 5th. The film has been running in Austria under the title “80 Plus” since October 3rd. Christine Ostermayer plays the 80-year-old actress Helene. She is terminally ill and wants to seek euthanasia in Switzerland. Since she can no longer drive her classic car herself, she asks her roommate Toni (Margarethe Tiesel) to take her to Switzerland. A journey with some surprises begins.
