Ayliva wins Artist of the Year for the second time. With rapper Apache 207, the singer delivers the most viewed video on YouTube. A Berlin rapper becomes a “legend”.
The singer Ayliva has been named Artist of the Year in Germany by the YouTube platform for the second time in a row. The 26-year-old from the Ruhr area prevailed in the “Artist of the Year” category against rappers Sido and Apache 207, among others, as YouTube announced at a gala in Berlin.
The award is based on the most views on YouTube in Germany. Ayliva has already had several number 1 hits, including “She knows”. With her albums “Schwarzes Herz” and “In Liebe” she made it to the top of the charts. She became YouTube Artist of the Year in 2023.
“Wunder” is the most successful music video of the year
The singer from Recklinghausen also delivered the most successful music video of 2024 in Germany with Apache 207. Their joint song “Wunder” achieved more than 24 million views on YouTube, it was said.
Last year, Apache 207 and panic rocker Udo Lindenberg won a prize for the most music video views with “Komet”.
“The year is going completely crazy for me. A little fake and surreal, but totally beautiful. I’m very happy,” said the 26-year-old to the German Press Agency on the sidelines of the award ceremony.
The musician was recently named best German act at the MTV Europe Music Awards and is sitting in the red chair as a coach in the new “The Voice Kids” season.
The platform awarded further awards at the YouTube event in the “Grill Royal” restaurant in Berlin. The Berlin rapper Sido (“Images in the Head”) was honored as a “Youtube Legend”.
Rapper Haaland936 received an award for “best newcomer”. Celebrities from the music world such as Ski Aggu, Nina Chuba and Nico Santos were there as guests.
