What the mansion of David Gilmour, from Pink Floyd, is like
Gilmour, through your companywho was the only director, bought the property in 2011a seaside resort called Medina House, located on the seafront of Hove, in Sussex, England. It was a public establishment for women with seawater pools and baths to relax.
This property has an area of 580 m2, in which it moves a patio, a covered garden, six bedrooms, four bathrooms and four reception rooms spread over three floors. It also has a wine shop, a lounge, a gym and a library, and one of the reception rooms, which includes a dining room, measures a whopping 15 metres.
Why can’t he sell his mansion?
In 2014 the company with which he had purchased the property dissolved, but due to a legal oversight it was not transferred to Gilmour himself.
Unless the assets of a company are transferred before the company is dissolved, they automatically become vacant assets and are titled under State ownership, according to UK law. Gilmour claims the house was not put in his name because of a administrative errorand has appealed to the High Court in London, where he is suing the Attorney General.
