Jude Law will receive final Walk of Fame star in 2024

Every year famous names appear on Hollywood’s “Walk of Fame” – now the last star of 2024 will be awarded.
British star Jude Law (51) will be honored as the last star recipient on Hollywood’s “Walk of Fame” this year. On December 12th, the actor is expected to turn 2,798. Unveiling plaque on the famous sidewalk. US director David Lowery (43, “Peter Pan & Wendy”) and actress Jurnee Smollett (38) have been invited as guest speakers. Law most recently made the crime film “The Order” with Smollett. The film premiered at the Venice Film Festival last August.
Many roles and Oscar chances
Law celebrated his international breakthrough in 1999 with the thriller “The Talented Mr. Ripley.” He was nominated for an Oscar for his supporting role. He had an Oscar chance as best actor in 2004 with the film “On the Road to Cold Mountain.” He appeared in films such as Sherlock Holmes, Fantastic Beasts, Hugo, Contagion, Grand Budapest Hotel and Captain Marvel. Most recently, he portrayed Captain Hook in “Peter Pan & Wendy” and King Henry VIII in “Firebrand.”
Prominent candidates for 2025
In recent months, director Tim Burton, actor Ewan McGregor and actress Kerry Washington have been celebrated with a star plaque, among others. The distributors have already announced prominent names for 2025. Among the three dozen chosen are Jane Fonda, Colin Farrell, Keith Urban and, posthumously, Prince.
The “Walk of Fame” with almost 2,800 stars has been honoring achievements in show business since 1960. The stretch of sidewalk on Hollywood Boulevard into which the star-shaped plaques will be embedded runs through the center of Hollywood.
