Barry Keoghan appalled by ‘lies, hatred’ and ‘disgusting comments’

Barry Keoghan, 32, is fed up with reports about his private life. The actor has been dominating the headlines for months with his relationship with Sabrina Carpenter, 25. Rumors of a separation have recently been making the rounds. There was also speculation that he was cheating on the pop star. Keoghan no longer wanted to accept these accusations and shared a long statement on X (formerly Twitter) on December 7th.

“I can only take so much. My name has been dragged across the internet in a way that I don’t normally react to. I have to react now because it’s gotten to the point where too many boundaries are being crossed,” he began his text. Keoghan has already been forced to deactivate his Instagram account “because I can no longer allow this stuff to distract from my family and my work. No one should ever have to read the messages I received.”

For the past few days, Barry Keoghan has been hit with “absolute lies, hatred, disgusting comments about my appearance, my character, how I am as a parent and everything else inhumane you can imagine.” Even his mother is drawn into the allegations that his grandmother is being harassed by pushy people in her house.

What hit the “Saltburn” star particularly hard was his behavior towards his son. He has two-year-old Brando from a previous relationship with Alyson Sandro Keiran. “Sitting outside my little boy’s house and intimidating her. That’s crossing the line,” Keoghan emphasized. He works every day to be the best father for his son and to give him the right values.

“I want him to be able to look up to his daddy, to trust me completely and to know that I have his back no matter what happens,” the 32-year-old continued. The haters should therefore think about the fact that his son will one day read the nasty comments against his father. “Please be respectful to everyone. Thank you,” he concluded his statement.

Barry Keoghan and Sabrina Carpenter were in a relationship for around a year. On December 3rd, however, it was reported that the two were taking a “break from their relationship” because their careers could no longer be reconciled. Shortly afterwards, rumors emerged that Keoghan had cheated on his partner with the influencer Breckie Hill.
