New rumor about the cast of the new jungle camp season: Sports star Jürgen Hingsen is said to be there.
Jürgen Hingsen (66) will be a jungle camper for the upcoming season of “I’m a Star – Get Me Out of Here!” traded. , the former decathlon athlete is supposed to move into the jungle.
The vice European champion, vice world champion and Olympic silver medalist in the decathlon celebrated his greatest successes in the 1980s and set world records. At the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, the two-meter-tall Hingsen had to cope with a setback. In the 100-meter run, his first discipline, he made three false starts and was disqualified, which earned him ridicule and malice. Hingsen said goodbye to competitive sports in 1989 and became an entrepreneur.
He would bring not only sporting ambition, but also TV experience to the jungle camp. In the 80s he worked as a presenter of the sports section on “ZDF- Fernsehengarten”, and in 2006 he took part in the RTL dance show “Let’s Dance”. With his dance partner Uta Albanese (51) he made it to fifth place. Hingsen has also appeared in small acting roles such as in the series “Ein Schloß am Wörthersee”.
Are these celebrities moving to the jungle camp?
The broadcaster RTL has not yet officially announced any candidates for the jungle camp. However, there has already been speculation about other names for the list of participants. The “Bild” newspaper recently featured, among others, ex-“Bachelor” candidate Evanthia “Eva” Benetatou (32), “Temptation Island” star Yasin Mohamed (33), “Sommerhaus der Stars” participant Maurice Dziwak and Willi Herren’s (1975-2021) daughter Alessia Herren (22) is in play as possible candidates.
The show’s 18th season will run daily from January 24, 2025 at prime time at 8:15 p.m. on RTL. Sonja Zietlow (56) and Jan Köppen (41) will moderate again.
