The Wanted singer Max George: Christmas in the hospital instead of at home

Worrying news from Max George (36): The singer of the British boy band The Wanted has been hospitalized due to heart problems. Like the 36-year-old, he now faces a longer hospital stay – including over the Christmas holidays.

“Hey everyone, yesterday I felt really bad and was taken to the hospital,” George wrote on the social media platform. “Unfortunately, during tests, doctors found some problems with my heart.” Further examinations should now clarify how serious the heart problems are and what operation will be necessary “to get back on my feet.”

The diagnosis came as a complete surprise to the musician. “It’s going to be a difficult few weeks and months,” explained George. “And Christmas in the hospital bed was definitely not what I had planned!” He is receiving love and support during this difficult time from his partner, the former “EastEnders” actress and singer Maisie Smith (23), as well as from both families and friends.

Despite the serious situation, the singer remains optimistic. He also wrote about the photo, which shows him smiling with his thumbs up in his hospital bed: “Even though the news is a big shock and definitely a setback, I am very grateful that it has now been discovered.” With a view to the upcoming “boring month in bed,” he announced regular “updates.” Otherwise he doesn’t have much to do.

It wasn’t until March 2022 that The Wanted had to cope with a serious loss: band member Tom Parker (1988-2022) died of a brain tumor at the age of just 33. The band enjoyed great success in the 2010s with hits like “All Time Low” and “Glad You Came.”
